  • Parent Teacher Association

    2nd Wednesdays @ 6pm @ Rosa Parks

    The Rosa Parks Parent Teacher Association (PTA) works closely with the principal, teachers, and staff to make our school community a warm, fun, and welcoming hub of learning. The PTA is a volunteer nonprofit organization supporting the three programs (STEAM, JBBP, and Special Education) at Rosa Parks Elementary School.

    Everyone is welcome to attend the monthly PTA meetings.

  • JBBP Parent Teacher Community Council

    1st Wednesdays @ 6:30pm @ Rosa Parks

    The Parent Teacher Community Council (PTCC) of the Japanese Bilingual Bicultural Program (JBBP) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization. Its purpose is to advance the mission of JBBP to preserve and share the legacy of Japanese language and culture for future generations.

    All parents/caretakers who have children enrolled in the JBBP are members of the PTCC.

  • School Site Council

    3rd Thursday @ 5:30pm @ Rosa Parks

    The School Site Council (SSC) sets academic goals for the school and decides on strategic actions to meet those goals. The SSC solicits teacher, staff, parent/family, and student input and examines data to develop an action plan and budget for the school.

    California's Education Code requires that the SSC have a composition that is balanced between school staff and family/community members. Members of the SSC are voted on by their respective peer groups. Terms are 2 years, and elections typically take place in September.

    SSC meetings are open to the public, please join us!

  • Green Team

    3rd Thursday @ 5:30pm

    Weekend Workdays 2nd Saturdays

    The Green Team supports and cares for both the Upper and Lower Gardens in coordination with our Garden Coordinator via Community Grows. Each month we have a weekend workday complete with shovels, snacks and coffee (along with snacks from the garden!).

    The green team helps with Salad Days in the classroom, and coordinating egg distribution from our hard-working chickens.

    Green team meetings are open to the public, please join us!
